Enjoy the breathtaking views from our restaurant, perched 6 meters above the river. This is your favorite spot at Amatopo for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the evening, watch the sunset and feel the cooling breeze as you enjoy your prime dinner served by our Chef. After dinner, our cozy and inviting Topo Bar opens for a relaxing drink, a refreshing cocktail, and good company.
Rooms and suites with private balconies
Enjoy the view of the river or the view from the top of the hill from your private balcony, where you can relax, sunbathe, watch the birds fly by, and soak up the wonderful Amatopo atmosphere.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Everything is included in your package: three meals a day (and surprise snacks along the way), as well as soft drinks and water. Alcoholic beverages are charged
Secure Satellite Wi-Fi
We offer a secure and fast internet connection at select locations on our grounds. You can purchase a voucher valid for 12 or 24 hours to log in to the system and connect with your loved ones at home or to upload those amazing photos you’ve taken to social media!
(Our tip: go offline, disconnect, and fully enjoy the peace and quiet of nature without any digital distractions...)
Air Conditioning
Each guest room is equipped with a split-system air conditioner to keep you cool when needed. The rooms also have ceiling fans to provide a refreshing breeze.
Hot and cold water
Every bathroom in the guest accommodations has a hot shower. Trust us when we say you'll enjoy the cold shower even more in our climate!
Mini-refrigerator
Every room is equipped with a mini-fridge so you always have a cold drink on hand. Non-alcoholic beverages are included in the package, so feel free to refresh yourself whenever you want!
River View Lodge and Suites
We are very proud of the beautiful Corantijn River, which is why we have positioned all of our guest accommodations so that they offer a view of the river. Some are even 15 meters above the river, so the word “breathtaking” is more than appropriate.
English- and Dutch-speaking staff
Our multilingual staff speak Dutch and English. We also have French-speaking staff members, so we can communicate in many different ways. Of course, our local staff would also be happy to teach you a few words of Trio that you can take home with you!
Recreational Activities
Since we are in the initial phase (2024), activities other than those listed in the programs are currently being developed.
Laundry Service
We offer a laundry service (washing, drying, and folding) for a modest fee.
Kayaks
In every program, we go kayaking with our guests. We’ll take you upstream, and you’ll drift downstream in complete silence, tranquility, and peace. It’s easy to do, even if you’ve never kayaked before!
Fishing Rods
We have well-equipped fishing rods with reels, braided lines, steel leaders, and lures available for rent if you haven't brought your own rods and gear.
Hammocks
We provide plenty of hammocks for our guests to use during excursions, overnight bush camps, or simply to take a nap at the resort.
Hiking through the jungle
During a walk through the jungle, you’ll be immersed in the vibrant sounds and colors of nature, making every step a journey to the heart of the wilderness.
